The Malta Financial Services Authority informs the public that SMS Insurance Agency Limited (“the Agency”) of 65, Birkirkara Hill, St Julians has ceased to carry on insurance agency activities on behalf of MAPFRE Middlesea plc with effect from 1st February 2017.

With effect from 1st February 2017 the Agency will not accept new insurance business on behalf of Mapfre Middlesea plc. However, all insurance policies, written by MAPFRE Middlesea plc through the Agency, which were in force as at 1st February 2017, shall continue to be serviced by the Agency until expiry date of the policy.

New claims relating to MAPFRE Middlesea plc policy purchased through the Agency are to be notified to the Agency until 31st January 2018.
