Shield Insurance Company Ltd (‘Shield’) has ceased to carry on business of insurance in terms of the Insurance Business Act (Cap 403) as from 1st January 2014.

This cessation of insurance business is entirely voluntary and does not arise as a result of any regulatory action taken by the MFSA. Shield has appointed Heritage Insurance Management (Malta) Ltd to run off the company’s business.
