The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) decided to proceed with imposing an administrative penalty of five hundred Euro (€500) on a Retirement Scheme Administrator.

BREACHES

The MFSA determined that the Retirement Scheme Administrator has acted in breach of Paragraph B.4.3.14 and B.4.3.29 of the Pension Rules for Service Providers as it failed to submit the Report on Annual Financial Return and other requirements for the reporting period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023 within the regulatory deadline.

REGULATORY ACTION

On 10 July 2026, the MFSA decided to impose an administrative penalty of five hundred Euro (€500) on a Retirement Scheme Administrator.
