The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) decided to proceed with imposing an administrative penalty of one thousand and one hundred Euro (€1,100) on a Retirement Scheme Administrator.

BREACHES

The MFSA determined that the Retirement Scheme Administrator has acted in breach of Article 20 of the Retirement Pensions Act and Paragraph B.2.3.4 and B.2.3.5 of the Pension Rules for Personal Retirement Schemes as it failed to submit the Half-Yearly Report for the reporting period from 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2023 within the regulatory deadline.

REGULATORY ACTION

On 8 June 2026, the MFSA decided to impose an administrative penalty of one thousand and one hundred Euro (€1,100) on a Retirement Scheme Administrator.
