The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA” or the “Authority”) has been looking into certain matters related to a Professional Investor Fund with respect to the late submission of regulatory information to the Authority. The Authority has considered the goodwill demonstrated by the Professional Investor Fund and agreed to settle all pending matters.

FINDINGS:
The MFSA found failings in respect to SLC 1.62 of Part BII of the Investment Services Rules for PIFs with respect to the late submission of the Annual Fund Return, Fund Return Representation Sheet, and Auditor’s Report on the Annual Fund Return for financial year ended 30 September 2021.
MEASURES
On 5 February 2026, the MFSA agreed to settle pending matters with the Professional Investor Fund after demonstration of goodwill by the Professional Investor Fund. By means of a settlement agreement entered into between the Professional Investor Fund and the MFSA, the latter imposed an administrative penalty of nine hundred Euro (€900) on the Professional Investor Fund.
