Deutsche Bank (Malta) Ltd (“the Bank”) has recently requested the Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) to accept surrender of its Banking Licence. This surrender is entirely voluntary and does not arise as a result of any regulatory action taken by the MFSA.

Accordingly, the ECB has also accepted the withdrawal of authorisation of Deutsche Bank (Malta) Ltd with effect from 27th June 2016, after which the bank has proceeded with the surrender of its banking licence on the 5th July 2016.
