The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA” or “the Authority”) has become aware of an entity that had an internet presence at mfsa.finance. This website is using the name, logo and website contents of the MFSA in an effort to deceive the public.
The Authority would like to inform the public that mfsa.finance is NOT the official channel of the MFSA and has NO association with MFSA. The Authority would like to remind consumers to proceed with caution and carefully examine website URLs and email addresses as these may closely resemble the official channels of legitimate entities.
The website mfsa.finance therefore appears to be a clone of the website of the MFSA and the public should therefore refrain from entering into any transactions or otherwise dealing with the false entity on any matters falling within the parameters of the Malta Financial Services Authority Act (Chapter 330 of the Laws of Malta).
