Conference Hall, Level 3 - MFSA Premises

Organised by the MFSA's Banking Supervision Function in collaboration with the Financial Stability Function, this Workshop will bring together local credit institutions, academics, advisors, and representatives from the European Central Bank and other National Competent Authorities to discuss how Climate and Environmental (C&E) risks are being assessed, managed, and embedded within the banking sector.

The Workshop will cover supervisory findings and good practices from the MFSA and the ECB, cross-jurisdictional experience from Banco de Portugal and De Nederlandsche Bank, academic perspectives, and an overview of the EBA Guidelines on ESG risk management. The afternoon will focus on practical application through case studies and an interactive group exercise, supported by a panel discussion with leading advisors from across the industry.

This Workshop is a key event for banking professionals to gain regulatory clarity, share supervisory and market perspectives, and strengthen their practical toolkit for integrating C&E risks into governance arrangements, credit processes, and risk frameworks.
