• Cross-border transfers should not be subject to stricter requirements than domestic ones;
• Scheme members should receive adequate information to be able to take informed decisions on whether to transfer;
• Charges to be paid by scheme members, should reflect the actual work necessary to carry out the transfer;
• Schemes need to maintain reasonable time limits for execution of transfers, without unnecessary delays.
