It is very important that you keep your payment instruments (such as debit, credit card and electronic key) in a safe place and to notify the payment service provider when becoming aware of its loss, theft, misappropriation or of its unauthorised use. Therefore, take note of the telephone number of your payment service provider’s customer service centre.
As a consumer you will bear the losses relating to any unauthorised payment transactions, up to a maximum of €50, resulting from the use of a lost/stolen payment instrument. You will not bear any financial consequences resulting from the use of the lost, stolen or misappropriated payment instrument after you notify the loss, theft or misappropriation to your payment provider.
You would not be entitled to any refund for losses relating to any unauthorised payment transaction if you incurred such losses by acting fraudulently or by failing to fulfil your obligations with intent or gross negligence.
