About Executive Committee


The Office provides management, co-ordination and follow-up support to the CEO in the execution of the Authority's strategies, implementation of policy objectives and matters related to regulatory and market reform and development. In the execution of this role the Office provides feedback on various ongoing initiatives, interacts with the different functions and teams across the organisation and assists in relations with relevant institutional and other stakeholder groups at national and international level.

 

The Role


The selected candidate is expected to:

Assist in the planning, management and execution of action programmes co-ordinated from the CEO’s office.

Provide technical assistance in relation to key actions requiring inputs from MFSA functional teams.

Assist with the provision of feedback on market-related issues and development of regulation.

Co-ordinate meetings with external (strategic and technical) stakeholders and ensure that MFSA's vision is implemented in line with the established business plan.

Assist with the planning and organisation of meetings with internal stakeholders, public authorities and private sector organisations, as well as related follow-up and progress reporting.

 

About You


The Authority would be interested to hear from individuals with a strong understanding and motivation for driving forward the MFSA’s policy objectives and functions. If you have a strong awareness of the external environment as relevant to the MFSA functions and priorities as well as a good understanding of the MFSA’s external technical stakeholders coupled with a pleasant collaborative personality and ease of communication, this is the job for you. We are also looking for individuals with Specific expert knowledge of at least one area of the MFSA’s work and sound financial services background and experience complimented by strong analytical and organisational skills.

The role calls for an academic qualification in Financial Services, Law, Economics or other related relevant field at National Qualification level framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.

You will also possess a minimum of five (5) years working experience in the area of Financial Services Sector.

If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in a similar related role, we would still be interested in speaking with you.

The role also calls for a proven ability to balance, prioritise and manage competing demands.
