About Conduct Supervision


The Conduct Supervision function is responsible for the setting up and implementation of the regulatory framework aiming to secure appropriate consumer protection in operations of licence holders in the financial services industry. The Conduct Supervision function is a cross-sectoral function covering under its remit supervision in conduct of credit institutions, securities, trustees, company service providers, as well as insurance and pensions. The function also includes the authorisations team which deals with new applications and approvals relating to trustees and CSPs.

The Role


In line with the Consultation Procedure and the Feedback Statement issued by the MFSA in relation to the raising of the bar of company service providers, Conduct Supervision is currently consolidating the CSP  team to be able to deliver both the authorisation and supervision of CSPs within the same function.  This vacancy is a new position within the Trustees and CSPs Authorisation Team.

Within this role you will be expected to:

  • Lead and project manage a new initiative within the MFSA with the support of other teams including the Trustees & CSP supervision team;
  • Establish project artefacts, workflows and supporting more junior team members;
  • Manage and develop more junior team members to deliver a substantial volume of work within a timely manner and in accordance with prescribed standards; and
  • Maintain accurate management information and report to senior management and internal committees on progress made.

The role is a high profile one within the MFSA and requires excellent stakeholder (internal and external) management skills. The project will need to be delivered within specific timeframes, specific resource requirements and in line with a pre-defined project plan.  

Ample support will be provided from a technical perspective.

About You


We are looking for candidates with solid academic background in Law, Banking & Finance or in another finance related background. 

The role calls for experience in people and project management familiar with project management tools and processes and a track record as a project leader. 

If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least seven (7) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
