About Strategy, Policy & Innovation

The Strategy and Policy Function is mainly responsible for providing the MFSA with advice and analyses on current and prospective strategies and policies and proposing key priority areas. This is done through the formulation and implementation of policies which will strengthen Malta's framework for the regulation of financial services and implementing policy projects in line with the MFSA's strategy and vision.

The Role

The appointed Intern will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assisting in strategy and policy projects;
  • Conducting research and analyses in relation to the function’s projects;
  • Compiling and drafting documents under the guidance of the team;
  • Undertaking any other tasks as delegated by the Head and management team of the Function, depending on the Authority’s exigencies.

About You

We are looking for candidates who are in the process of completing an undergraduate degree in Law, Accountancy, Finance, Business and Information Technology or in any other qualification related to financial services.

You will be expected to have the ability to manage competing priorities and a challenging workload and a basic knowledge of the financial services framework in Malta.

You are also expected to be a confident individual who is flexible, dynamic, and have a critical and analytical mind-set.

Excellent written and spoken communication as well as presentation skills are a must.
